Rod and Teresa Koop, Missionaries to Alaska
Rod & Teresa Koop direct North of Hope, the Alaska Mission. We are organized for the purpose of inspiring people to make a difference in the lives of others. We do that by serving all people in Alaska through practical ways that invest in projects that value and preserve culture and heritage.

As childhood sweethearts, Rod & Teresa were married in Seward, Alaska in 1978. They have spent over thirty years serving others in a journey that took them to assignments in Oregon, Washington, Colorado and California. Their return to Alaska in early 2011 fulfilled a lifelong dream of coming home to the state and the people they so love.

The Koop's have two children, Amanda and Darien. Amanda and her husband Norman live in Seattle, and have given them their first grand daughter, Nicole who is a year old. Darien lives in Nashville and travels the world as a lighting designer/director.
