In the early 90's Daniel and Colleen Jaquith and their family responded to a special missionary call from the Lord to serve as ambassadors of the gospel to the nations. They began going to the Philippine Islands on short term mission trips, and eventually sold their Hazelnut orchard business in Oregon, U.S.A., moving to the Philippines with their family (6 children) in 1996. Although they found that they have also needed to be in the States from time to time, they have attempted to faithfully serve with mission ministries there in the Philippines most of the time since then. In 1999 they moved to their present location, where they live in Tarlac City. Although initially operating more as a "helps" ministry to existing church fellowship groups, over the last 10-12 years or so they have developed their own missions organization there called "Bridge to the Islands and Nations Ministries, Inc.", and became more involved in church planting and outreach ministries through their own missions organization. They have had the privilege of distributing many Bibles, been involved in evangelistic endeavors, ministry training and raising up workers, small Bible Study groups, as well as church planting efforts, and other vital ministries that glorify the Lord. They especially have a passion for reaching the unreached, and are penetrating some poor fishing villages in the Polillio Islands that have not previously had much opportunity, nor exposure to the gospel. They greatly appreciate their mission teammates and faithful prayer partners, who have helped make this possible, and give the Lord all the glory and praise for His blessings upon our ministry efforts together.
